Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss, a Californian native, grew up with an affluent background. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who went on to own the Lakers and various other sports organizations. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated together and she felt left out. Her family's business was started in the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. The position she held was President of Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss along with her five brothers and sisters and their father, who owned the Lakers and ruled them until his death in 2013, inherited this ownership by way of a trust. They each enjoyed the same the right to vote. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its the headquarters located within Los Angeles.
