Anna Van Hooft (born in Toronto the Canadian city of Toronto) is an actor. She was best known as Princess Aura in the television version from Flash Gordon. Her birth date was 1 March 1980 in Moscow and was born to members of a family including the Director and the economist Tatyana Dmitrievna. As a young girl her illness began to take hold. She spent six months in hospital. She was later diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He was famous for his skating exploits alongside Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. In 1993, the pair placed 8th at a Junior World Championship, and in 1994 they finished 7th. The pair briefly collaborated alongside Maxim Kachanov. Later, together they finished 5th in the Goodwill Games. They had a great time together. They twice won the Finlandia Trophy, and they were also part of the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They were able to accomplish more however the highlight of their collaboration was when they placed 15th at the 1998 World Championships.
