Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder thinks she's Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved to Mendocino County, California when she was seven years old. The family resided in an area without electricity. No televisions was her only source of entertainment to keep her busy and she was a voracious reader. Ryder started to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder suffered from bullying in high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actor would be able to bring about change. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. However, she continued to pursue her goals. In 1988, she got her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to perform successful parts in a variety of films. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
